The MAF (Bioconnected) App is available on iOS only but the earbuds will work with most leading bluetooth enabled apps on iOS and Android (please see App Connectivity tab for further information).

MAF merges with Bioconnected

Exercising with the MAF Method depends on accurate heart rate monitoring so we were excited to discover Bioconnected (an Australian start up) that had developed a clinical grade heart rate monitor built into earbuds. In fact, the combination of the product and the MAF method was such a good fit that we merged.

Key members of the Bioconnected team have joined the MAF team and this includes the driving force behind the technical development, Dr Sven Rees, who is a practicing exercise physiologist, a research scientist and an athlete.

We will eventually be adding the MAF brand to the packaging but we are anxious to let everyone enjoy this great product as soon as possible so current shipments are still under the Bioconnected brand and iOS app.

Covid-19 / Potential Delays

Apple
For Apple devices there is a free MAF HR+ App available on the Apple Store. The HR+ should also work with the many third party apps that support Bluetooth heart rate monitors.

Android
We are currently building an Android app but at the moment we don't offer our own native App. However, the HR+ will connect to any Android app that supports Bluetooth heart rate monitors.

Garmin & Ant+ devices
Up until recently Garmin used a proprietary technology (Ant+) to connect to their own brand heart rate monitors. The HR+ connects via Bluetooth (also knows as Bluetooth Smart, Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth LE and BLE) so to pair with a Garmin device you will need to check that this technology is supported.

Strava
Please note that from Oct 2019, Strava no longer connects directly to a heart rate monitor.

Taxes and Duties
The international shipping agent we use will take care of all the duties and taxes that need to be paid at your end. What you pay at the checkout is all that is due until the parcel is delivered to your door. No need to go into the post office to pay excess and no forms to fill in, we take care of all that.
